About Rule Bender Press Rule Bender Press was started in 2010, inspired by what we perceive as the opportunity to create a forum for works that fall outside easy classification. As devoted fans of great and entertaining writing regardless of category, we are looking to publish stories that defy the boundaries between genre and literary fiction, and nonfiction that pays meticulous attention to facts while never forgetting that people read for pleasure. We hope to provide a venue for extraordinary voices, fresh writing, and stories that leave you hungry for more when you can finally make yourself put them down. Rule Bender Press is a partnership of wife and husband Frances and Richard Grote. Frances is the author of award winning memoir, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. She supports her writing habit with a day job for a company that is trying to cure cancer. Richard has been an internationally acclaimed illustrator and designer for over thirty years.
